Tara Schleicher will present a webinar on behalf of NACM Oregon  regarding the pros and cons of serving on a Chapter 11 creditors' committee, and the duties and involvement required.

Michelle Bertolino served on two "ask the experts" panels at the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section Fundamentals of Bankruptcy CLE on August 12, 2011.

05/01/11 - Mark Wada Presenting at 2011 ELFA Legal Forum
Mark Wada will co-present a session on equipment leasing essentials at ELFA Legal Forum, the premier event for attorneys serving the equipment leasing and finance industry. His presentation will provide a big picture overview of the leasing landscape and insights from Mark's 30+ years as a finance lawyer.

04/05/11 - Account Administration Seminars
Hal Scoggins will present Account Administration Seminars on behalf of the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA) on April 5, 2011,  in Federal Way, Washington, and on April 6, 2011, in Portland. Hal has special expertise in account issues and will discuss key aspects of opening, maintaining and closing deposit accounts.

12/10/10 - Mark Wada Presenting at OSB Professionalism Seminar
Mark Wada will present a session at the Oregon State Bar Polishing the Edges: Perspective on Professionalism from the Bench and the Bar seminar on December 10, 2010.

10/19/10 - 2010 Employment Law Workshop - Is There an App for That?
The Farleigh Wada Witt Employment Group, in conjunction with the Credit Union Association of Oregon (CUAO), will hold its annual Employment Law Workshop on October 19, 2010, at the Crowne Plaza in Lake Oswego, Oregon. 

10/07/10 - CUAO 2010 Annual Convention and Business Meeting
Brian Witt and Hal Scoggins will present their annual legal update session at the Credit Union Association of Oregon (CUAO) 2010 Annual Convention and Business Meeting scheduled for October 6-8 in Portland.

04/28/10 - 2010 PNSAA Operations and Maintenance Conference
Brad Stanford will again be a panelist for the Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Association (PNSAA) Operations and Maintenance Conference scheduled for April 28-29 in Bend, Oregon. Brad will sit on three panels: 1) Technology and the Workplace: Social Networking Systems Use Policy, Cell Phones and More; 2) Risk Management Issues: Case Study; and 3) Risk Management Issues: Panel Discussion.

04/08/10 - Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Presentation
Hal Scoggins will be the guest speaker at the Spokane Chapter of the Washington Credit Union League Chapter Operations Meeting in Spokane on April 8, 2010. His presentation is entitled Bank Secrecy Act Compliance: Key Issues and Updates.

03/23/10 - Deposit Account Compliance Seminar
Hal Scoggins will present a Deposit Account Compliance seminar on behalf of the Washington Credit Union League (WCUL) on March 23, 2010, at the WCUL Training Center in Federal Way, Washington.

02/10/10 - Institute for Real Estate Management Presentation
Kathy Salyer and Tara Schleicher will present a seminar on February 10, 2010, to the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM) Oregon-Columbia River Chapter No. 29. The seminar to property managers, vendors, and other real estate management professionals is entitled "Collections, Bankruptcy & Eviction – How to Deal with Tenants."

01/22/10 - Volunteer Leadership Institute Presentation
Brian Witt will present a session on January 22, 2010, at the 13th Annual Volunteer Leadership Institute-Hawaii presented by The Paragon Group. Brian's presentation is entitled "Credit Union Director Liability: It Shouldn't Hurt to Volunteer" and will address credit union director liability and corporate governance issues.

01/19/10 - Bank Secrecy Act Webinar
Hal Scoggins will present a Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) webinar on behalf of the Washington Credit Union League on January 19, 2010. He will discuss current BSA compliance requirements, due diligence and internal control procedures, and an overview of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance procedures.
